Plant a Tree in Iceland is a forestry project where you can donate trees to be planted in Iceland or join our team to take part in planting your trees yourself.
We also offer companies to carbon offset their operations through our project or join us with their team and plant their own trees.

Where we come from
Plant a Tree in Iceland is a forestry project operated by the Icelandic travel agency, Nordic Green Travel.
From the beginning of operation, we at Nordic Green Travel, have always put sustainability at the tip of our operation. Our mission from the start has been to make it easier for travelers, and travel operators, to carbon offset their travels and tours and take steps to becoming more environmentally friendly. Every tour sold through our agency has been carbon offset plus a lot more.
At first we planted our trees through cooperation with a forestry fund here in Iceland but at the start of 2019 we started our own forestry project, Plant a Tree in Iceland. From that time we have been offering our guests to join us there to physically take part in planting their own trees and carbon offset their travels.
Now by adding Plant a Tree in Iceland to our operations, we wanted to make it even easier for everyone to carbon offset their emissions here in Iceland. In turn, our partners will also help us fight climate change and the terrible soil erosion that affect the area where our forestry plot is located.
